ABOUT

St. Patrick's

History

Founded by Rev. Kevin and Kathie Baker, and a core group of people with missionary faith, St. Patrick's is a community of people God has brought together to "Believe in Buffalo" together.   We named our church after one of the greatest missionaries of all time--St. Patrick.

Our Mission

To develop a community of passionate, mature, Christians reproducing Christ-centered disciples and to transform the world by love and good deeds, for the glory of God.

Our Vision

It is important for a church to have a vision of what God is calling them to be. In fact, the Bible says that “without a vision the people perish (Proverbs 29:18).”

Kevin and Kathie Baker's vision for ministry has not changed since they left Central Bible College in 1992.   “Come as you are and be loved.”  Jesus showed love, acceptance, and forgiveness to all who came to him to follow him.  Regardless of where you have been on your spiritual journey, your past, economic standing, education, or ethnic background, you will be loved at St. Patrick's.

St. Patrick's Sayings

These sayings are common at St. Patrick's and represent our deepest values.

Come as you are and be loved

We want everyone who comes in contact with us to feel a deep sense of acceptance and love no matter where they are in life.

Let God Do The Driving

The most critical decision in life is to decide who is in control.  When we submit to Jesus we hand over control of our life and put Him in the driver’s seat.

Get in The Game!

A high value at St. Patrick's is that Christianity is not a spectator sport.  We were all made to get in the game so we allow and encourage everyone to get involved in ministry based on their gifts and passions.

Faith is spelled R.I.S.K.

We understand that walking in faith and radically following Jesus will knock us out of our comfort zone.

Be naturally supernatural

Moving in the Spirit should be free of hype as well as a part of our everyday experience.

We are made for community

God made us in His image and a big part of that is a desire for deep and real relationships. We do that best in a community of small groups, team ministry and the local church.

Beliefs

  • That the Holy Scriptures are the final authority on all matters of faith, doctrine and practice. Where Scripture does not speak clearly, we defer to apostolic tradition.
  • That the historic creeds of the undivided Church provide a clear and indisputable summary of the Christian faith.
  • That we are saved by grace, through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ
  • That the Sacraments of the Church impart the grace of God through faith
  • That the Holy Spirit is at work today through spiritual gifts and signs given to the Church
